My research interests are in ways in landscape archaeology and the interface of different chronological datasets (including radiocarbon dating and genealogical dating) to generate nuanced understandings of human settlement, primarily in Oceania and New Zealand more specifically. I am also interested in critical heritage studies and the ways in which archaeology is undertaken today with respect to the interests of Indigenous Peoples. I explore these areas of interest using digital technologies including remote sensing, GIS and extended reality.
