Areas of expertise
I am a trained landscape archaeologist working as a researcher at the Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology (ICAC) in Tarragona, Spain. My research combines multi-disciplinary approaches in archaeology integrating digital, computational and groundtruthing strategies for the long-term understanding of human activity and human-environmental interactions. My specialisation includes 3D photogrammetric reconstructions and multi-source modelling of past landscapes (e.g. through historical aerial photography and cartography), GIS-based survey and advanced geospatial analyses, particularly for the detection and evaluation of archaeological sites, land-use systems and environmental changes. I foster international collaborations, holding research assistant positions in various archaeological projects in Greece and Spain and I am currently delivering classes at the Applied Classical Archaeology master’s programme, co-organised by the ICAC, the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and the Rovira I Virgili University of Tarragona (URV). Finally, I have been reviewing research papers for the Journal of Field Archaeology.
