The thesis examines the relevance and potentiality of settlement system studies in Medieval Archaeology with special reference to Champaner Pavagadh; Gujarat by providing an understanding that, how a core area namely a capital city or town in Medieval India irrespective of their political prejudices sustained, in support of its immediate landscape settings and subordinate areas.
