Dr. Sonia Shidrang is an archaeologist in the Palaeolithic Department of the National Museum of Iran. She received her Ph.D. in Paleolithic archaeology from PACEA, Bordeaux University in 2015, and afterward, she continued her research in the framework of a post-doc project in the Institute for Oriental and European Archaeology of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Her thesis projects were focused on the techno-typological analysis of the Early Upper Paleolithic lithic assemblages of Zagros. She has conducted several excavations in the Upper Paleolithic sites of the Zagros mountains and published several papers and books on the subject of Early Upper Paleolithic archaeological sequences of Zagros.
