Naoko Matsumoto received her D.Litt. in 1998 from Kyushu University, Japan. Her research interests include the transition from the Jomon hunter-gatherers to the following Yayoi agricultural societies in Japanese Archipelago, the factors related to inter-group violence, and the construction of interdisciplinary research frameworks for cognitive and gender archaeology.
