Educational and work
I am a bird paleontologist (M.Sc., University of Leiden; Ph.D., Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) using fossil and archaeological bird remains to detect long-term patterns in past avian biodiversity. My research interests are biogeography, insular evolution, hominin subsistence and taphonomy.
